As you can see, the house has a fast optical fibre internet connection. TV comes over that same connection, apart from a number of FTA-stations that we receive directly via the Astra 19.2E satellite. Due to the geographical location of Madeira, reception of the satellite stations is usually OK, but may be affected by atmospditions. Fortunately, there is always the stunning view from the house. And that is really what you came to Madeira for!
If you have a TV-subscription at home that enables you to watch your usual stations from a mobile device abroad, you can stream the image to our Smart TV-set via the optical fibre provider MEO´s MEO-Box´ built in Chromecast. Make sure and have your credentials ready.
You can see a lot of our equipment featuring in the images of our house we have gathered in a longish slide show on the page ‘picture book‘.
We have tried to be adequate in summing up the equipment of the house we think essential for you to know. If there is any question you would like to ask, don’t hesitate. You can contact us using the information in the ‘contact‘ page or use the form in the page ‘how to book the house’.
Much of the equipment in the above list are also visible in the images on the various pages. The page ‘picture book‘ shows the house in use, with people sometimes, sometimes with a messy kitchen, in other words, like a real home looks when there are people living there.
You may think that with all this equipment, the rent will be outrageous. Let us reassure you. The prices are very moderate. We don’t wish to be the cheapest, but you get a top house for a medium-range price. Have a look at them here.
Over time, some items in the above list will break and have to be replaced. However, the functionalities of the house will not be affected. Therefore, change of the items that appear in some photographs will never be accepted as a cause for a complaint or a refund.
The flower in the background is the Sapatinho, the Venus Shoe, an orchid that you will find in many Madeiran gardens and on many terraces and balconies. It is a typical Christmas flower as it is flowering in winter.
